What is a Camaro???
"What is a Camaro?"
That question was asked at the start of the 1967 model year when the Camaro first debuted. While the name "Camaro" has no specific meaning, GM designers claim to have found it in a French dictionary as slang for "friend" or "companion". When the press first asked "what is a Camaro", the reply came back as "a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs."

They also chose camaro because the other sports cars also started with the letter "C". Sophomore english project, I chose chevy.

Maybe because it's original title was "Panther"?
 The name itself is pattered along Chevrolet's line of naming cars after the first letter of the Corp, i.e. Chevelle, Corvair, Caprice, Chevelle, El Camino, Chevy II, Corvette, C/10 Pickup, and on, and on, and on...

I agree it's old news but there are always new people on here to see it
