Why does the top of my front strut mounts (under the hood on both sides) have brown discoloration on the white paint ? (my 1LE is white)

Every white 5th gen I’ve seen has that discoloration. Do not know why, I know that doesn’t help you!
Speculation would be that is from the rubber ring on the top of the mount. Really a WAG

Thanks for the reply. It really is kind of weird. At first I thought it was caused by heat and left a burn residue. But I don't think that is the case.
