Low Brake Fluid Warning

2012 Camaro SS with OEM Brembos.

Had my car dyno tuned before Thanksgiving and it started to show "Low Brake Fluid" warning on the DIC and the "Brake" light is on. The fluid in the reservoir is good and I flushed the system and put in Dot 4 brake fluid this year. There doesn't seem to be any loss in braking performance. I understand there is a fluid level sensor in the master cylinder reservoir that can be replaced, just haven't heard many of those going bad. Any other suggestions on what to look for?

Well, if the brakes are working properly and you don't see any leaks, you could disconnect the negative battery terminal for a bit to clear the lights. The last time I had mine on the dyno, when we were done and I drove away, all my dash lights came on, and my tuner said they would go out before I left his building, and they did. Just something to look at since your lights came on. If there is a problem, they will come back on after you hook the battery back up and drive it again.

Thanks, forgot to mention we tried that already and it didn't help. Though I may try again!

There's most likely a code C0267 set in the EBCM(Electronic brake control module). A quick thing to check is to disconnect the level sensor connector and install a 3 Amp fused jumper wire between the signal circuit terminal 1 and ground. The sensor connector is only two wires. See if the light goes out. You can buy fuse holders at any parts store. If the light goes out you have a bad level sensor, If not it could need a EBCM. There is a lot of other factors to but this is something you cold do yourself.
