Used Kooks headers

I got these today for 350 bucks.

They have about 16k miles on them, from what the old owner said, he uninstalled because he's moving back and can't use them.

Thoughts?

VERY good price and Kooks freaking rock! I’ve been running my Kooks for about 5 years now and they’re awesome.

As said above, you got an amazing deal considering they are Kooks.

Jeez, didn't know it was going to be this huge, for me, lol.

I just need to find the gaskets and some bolts.

You're going to do this yourself? I don't doubt your mechanical skills, just asking because I saw exactly how your exhaust was welded up. Just due to how some angles and such have possibly changed I would be very careful, take your time, and measure.
Keep in mind that it is much easier to cut something shorter to fit, but you will have a hard time adding length back in. In other words, measure twice, cut once. Any 'fixes' to the dimensions will need to be done AFTER the catless off road pipes.

Also, are you already tuned? If not, I would suggest waiting until you have a long tube tune ready or find an alternative way to defeat the O2 issues you will inevitably run into. It just makes sense to take advantage of the long tubes and get the gains they will provide.

Good luck.

Nahhh, I don't trust myself enough just yet to work on it solo. I just don't know if the shop has the right gaskets for it, or any extra things I might need. I will be waiting to get a tune down the line, as well as the Nightfury cam.

For now the headers will just sit in the garage...

Good call. Glad to see you not rushing into anything. Best part is you've already got them.

Long tube install is relatively easy. I installed mine by myself in about 3 hours or so. I would recommend new gaskets. I did not remove my spark plugs as others said they did. Just be extra careful bypassing them if you decide to do them yourself. Great deal you got there.

I agree, but he already had his exhaust repaired and the factory manifolds are now welded to the mid pipes.

I'll have these not welded to the midpipes like I do now, lol.

Always thought it was weird that they didn't use the clamps, but at least the weld keeps everything there.
