Supercharger to Twin Turbos
I currently have a 2010 2SS Camaro, It is mainly used for Drag Racing. It currently has a Magnuson TVS2300 Supercharger, and is specked out to a 9.4 quarter mile. I am looking at swapping out for Twin Turbos, my budget is 14,000$. I am looking at the AGP Turbo kit or the Hellion 67mm billet. Does anyone have any advice for different kits or if I should even switch from Supercharged to TT.

Was in the same position 1 year ago and made the switch. Turbos have a lot more room for growth and potential to go faster with a quick adjustment on the boost controller. I love the adjustability and reliability, no belt slip, iat’s are better for me and I have gone a lot faster on my twin turbo setup.
AGP or Huron TT kit is the way to go.

Thank you so much for the advice. So Huron TT kits are the way to go?

AGP. They are a presence here on camaro5 and have provided multitudes of advice on here and excellent customer service off the site.

AGP TT is of course the way to go.
What transmission do you have? And what are your engine specs? |

I keep hearing of this “AGP.” I think we know what that means.

I swapped from supercharger to TT and never looked back. Huron wasn't an option back then, but I am happy with the quality and fitment of my AGP kit.

It has the 6 speed auto and the stock LS3. What size Turbos would work best for Drag Racing. And Journal Bearing or Ball Bearing.

Since you'll be running an auto with a high stall, lag isn't really an issue for you, we'd go a little oversized on the turbos for you. I'd say between the 57/57 .82 or the 62/62 .82. The 57's being a better match for you now but the 62's would be a better match if you want to do a built 416 some day. Ballbearing turbos are better but cost about $600 more ea. That's sort of up to your budget. You might be better off putting that money into trans and engine upgrades.
If it's mostly built for drag, then a 15" conversion and rear suspension upgrades are just as important as HP. Traction will become everything. |

The base AGP kit will suffice. I had that (56/61's) for years and I couldn't turn up the boost all the way. I constantly made 14-15psi with less than 50% duty cycle on the wastegates. I did crank it up to 17psi on a mile-run event, still only 70% duty cycle. You'll need plenty of fuel (twin-fuel pumps) and at least ID1000 injectors to support the boost with a stock LS3. YMMV.

You wont go wrong going with either Huron or AGP. I will tell you that I had purchased a Huron twin kit and the kit was very high quality. Also, I really cant stress how wonderful the customer service is with Huron. Jon will do anything to make sure the customer is happy. Absolutely the best experience I ever had purchasing anything! The service on the front and back side was second to none.

Also, if you havent invested heavily in your fuel system already, you will be. Going twins is expensive. If you decide to do E85, set $4-5k in your budget just for fuel. Been there lol
