Sound dampening the Camaro SS?

Has anyone tried this on their Camaro yet? I'm probably going to do mine and am wondering what the best way to go about this is.

From what I can tell there are two major players in the sound deadening game - Dynamat and Second Skin Automotive Insulation. It looks like I'm gonna go with SSAI Damplifier Pro.

I have a noweeds.net kit installed right under my floor panels and oohhhhh boy does it rattle the insides when I open it up! I'm looking to make this thing quiet like a luxury car.

Anyone who has first-hand experience, knowledge, or any advice with this car: I woulid appreciate some feedback!

From reading the threads I'm estimating that you would need about 70 Sq feet to dampen the Trunk (50 sq feet) and both doors (20 Sq feet)

from what I'm reading on the web
Dynamat = expensive but works well.
Dynamat Mega Pak 72sq Feet $600.00
http://www.dynamat.com/products_car_audio_sheets_and_bulk_paks.html

RAAMmat BXT II = just as good as Dynamat
37.5 sq $100 x 2 would be 75 Sq Feet $200
http://www.raamaudio.com

Second Skin = less expansive and works as good as Dynamat Damplifier Pro 80 sq feet $289.87
http://www.secondskinaudio.com/vibration-mat/damplifier-pro.php?category=120

Fatmat = comes off in high heat and reported smell 100 sq feet $129.99
http://www.fatmat.com/bulk/fatmat/100.html

So I think it comes down to is it really worth 3x for Dynamat? I'm leaning towards RAAMmat or SecondSkin after all this is dampening material not really rocket science not exactly sure what Dynamat could bring that justifies 3x the price???
anyone have comments or suggestions?

Someone in a thread did mention that having the trunk mat helps dampen sound. That was one reason I bought the trunk mat. I don't have my car yet, but I'll let you know if that really does make a difference.

As I read the first post, it struck me as funny as how some people spend lots of money to make their Camaro louder whereas others try to quiet them down. It takes all kinds!

I just used Second Skin Audio's new sound deadener called "SPL Tiles" during my subwoofer install. I love it and all the shop guys loved it!

I'm interested in this as well. Is there any need/benefit of using dampening material in the front end?

i installed R-BLOX off of eBay. did the trunk floor, back wall of trunk and spare tire/battery cover with 25 sq ft. makes the exhaust sound like its on the outside of the car now(muffler delete). for some reason the trunk still rattles with the 1000watts on two tens

works great, quality stuff and comes with the roller

Thanks BLACK10 for the R-Blox tip - I ordered 25sqft for the trunk.

Did you consider covering the spare well with a removable sheet of R-Blox ? I heard that it acts like a drum over the standard mat. I have the Camaro Trunk Mat but that only cut down part of the sound. I'm adding the R-Blox to help with Exhaust noise from my new Cat-Back Solo Exhaust.

Around how much does it cost to the full car? material and install, and about how much weight do you add?
