If you are getting it dynotuned after you can run the tune they send to get it to the dyno. They only say that because that's how they set up the tune the differences will be pretty minimal i would just take it easy until you get to the dyno. I wouldn't trust a canned tune on any FI set up.

I installed a Whipple a couple of years ago, if you follow their instructions, you download the tune from your car, send the file to them and they'll send it back. The cold air intake you have should not affect the tune to a large enough degree to matter if you're going to dyno it later. You do need to make sure the intake you have will match up to the Whipple, the location of the throttle body changes when you install it so if it's a hard pipe, it might not fit.

If anything, you'll be better off with a CAI. The tune they send is VERY conservative, and a little of the 'fat' side as far as fueling goes. They have you cut the bottom of the stock airbox to allow for a greater area for air to be pulled from. If I recall correctly, i believe the instructions that I received even suggested cutting the inner fender liner to the same shape as the cut airbox.

For reference, with Whipple's tune, my car made ~560rwhp . At the time, it had the LS9 cam, LT headers, and no cats. Once dyno tuned, it made 600rwhp.

The box tune from Whipple will be fine until you get it dyno tuned. Also, if you are running an after market intake you might need to order a revised intake tube. PM or call us and we'll get you the correct intake tube for the Whipple
