Its not like a charger!

I hate when people compare the 2010 camaro to a dodge charger. I personally hate the modern 4 door chargers. One reason is, i find them very ugly, and another is that I used to work for a Dodge dealership where they were mostly jerks and canned me and most of the people I worked there for no real reason. Anyway, when I went the first time to the dealership to find out about getting a 2010 camaro with 10k down, the guy gave me a credit app to fill out. I did so and he says "nope, you cant get it without a co-sign. can I interest you in a charger?" Oh that was an insult. I later got approved anyway so he can keep his ugly charger. I also had gone to my bank to talk about a loan for the camaro and when I tld the woman what kind of car I was getting, she was like "Oh, those are nice cars. they remind me alot of the new chargers"

I haven't heard that one.

I'm guessing these people are confusing the Challenger with the Charger.

The Camaro and Challenger look similar from the side.

The both have the pouncing look with those large rear shoulders. That's not an insult. That's another muscle car.

Ah, don't take it personal. It's just that everyone has they're own perception of things, so who are we to say if it's right or wrong, silly or not; it's how they see it. Before I got my Camaro, I looked at the SS long and hard...and I said to myself "you know......the Charger and Camaro look real similar,...the curves, it looks like a charger coupe!" lol. Silly yes, but that how I looked at it then, but now having one now, up close and personal in my driveway, I know, it looks nothing like a charger.

Some Chargers look good to me, others just look like a big dune-buggy for goons. :P. I hate Chargers too,....not mostly because of they're looks, but mostly because of the people I encountered who drive them. Talk about young, dumb, aholes.

I would like to think they were getting confused with the CHALLENGER - my brother and I do the same thing all the time, and I own one (the Charger - actually I leased it and this will be my last year)! I have been waiting patiently for my lease to end so I can BUY my next car, which will be a Camaro. Anyways, I've seen the CHALLENGERS from the side and I have to agree that they do share virtually the same profile as the new Camaros. It's not necessarily a bad thing, after all, they ARE both "retro-designed". As a Charger owner, I have to say that I love my car - I think I only have two complaints about it: the windshield headline (would that be the A-pillar or B-pillar?) is rather low - when at a red light you kinda have to tilt your head down to see it and I'm 5'10. Second, because mine is black, people tend to think that I'm an "undercover" cop so they tend to slow down when they're in front of me, which was kinda cool at first but after two years it gets old. Oh, and it SUCKS in the snow! But I gotta say, my car is plenty quick for a V6 and roomy, too. Don't hate on the Chargers, if anything, blame the Challengers - they stole the Charger's interior!

PS: Happy New Year to all!!!!

"Looks like the Mustang to me" I have heard that a few times. I guess those are not real car people.

I'll tell you one thing though. I think the Challengers look really awkward with the aluminum wheels most come with. I think the Camaro really looks like a class act with the 20" polished wheels. Not even close in a side view.

LOL! I hate getting both cars confused...Charger/Challenger....Arg..Sorry to be off topic!

eh, who cares what somebody says, especially if they're not "in the know" about cars. I had someone tell me " that's one of those new firebirds, huh? " when I was out in my C6 vette....

I own a 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS and a 2009 Charger R/T Daytona Ed., both cars are great for what they are. I would own two Camaro's if I did not have two teen aged buys. We bought the Charger because it is the only four door "Muscle Car" out there and it has a Hemi, lol. I can see way Dodge went with a four door version, simple economics, they sell more. I personally would have liked a two door version, but the Charger is a good four door car for me, very well built, just like my Camaro. I do like my Camaro more

Isn't the Charger just a dressed up 300? I think the Challenger is a 300 with a different body isn't it?

For the average person, which for all intents and purposes isn't always too smart anyway, sports cars pretty much all look the same unless they're drastically different.
