I'm experiencing a lot of anticipation over buying a Camaro... and not just me! Wife, kids, friends, friends in the office, friends of friends, etc.

The question I have is, instead of just taking for a ride, who have you handed the keys to?

Who else have you let drive your new Camaro? You can vote for more than one.

The only time anyone has touched my camaro is when I have to hand it over to the dealer.. You just don't have a choice there. Otherwise asking to drive my car is like asking to take my girlfriend for a "ride" if you know what I mean

Only wife- and that was because i was drinking (And she's also helping to pay for it!).

Remember- you have passenger seats for a reason. The car is too powerful to let someone not used to it to give it hell. Has someone actually ASKED you to drive it? Ask them if it's okay to test drive their wife!!

Nobody yet. My wife will drive it next spring/summer if she wants to (I will be with her). She can drive a stick, but has never experienced this much power. If any one else has the cajones to ask me if they can drive it I will have no problem telling them NO!

I might let my daughters try it........ we'll see.

I don't usually have friends ask to drive my cars, but there are a couple I'd let drive it as long as I'm with them and it was just a "normal" drive, not a performance demonstration.

My father will drive it the first day I have the car and maybe my older cousin if he feels like it.

My father has driven every car I have gotten the first day, its a tradition for me.

My cousin is a Japanese car snob, but I am sure he's curious about the car. So if it doesn't make him sick, I will let him test drive it.

I usually use the toothbrush analogy along with what you said. I say "You hev a better chance of borrowing my wife or my toothbrush than you have of driving my SS or riding my Harley"
Rules;
1. Never drive anyone elses car.
2. Never let anyone drive your car.
3. Start over at rule #1.
When someone asks to drive your high performance car, some one is going to get angry. I would rather have someone angry at me for saying "NO", than for me to be angry at them when I would be hearing somthing like "It wasn't my fault, the other guy did whatever and that made me crash your new car."

Well I hate to admit it but my Cami has gotten around a little too much already. Let's see, her first guy was in Texas, that relationship lasted about a week, then there was me, she likes me a lot and frequently wants to impress me with her skills, then she tried out my husband (exactly two times), then there was this really good looking blond-haired blue-eyed mechanic at the dealership.

Then our very own Xanthos had his way with her and she'll never enjoy having her paddle shifters rubbed as much as she did when he did it that very first time, then there was this tall well-built guy at a tire store, then another really cute young guy that drove her to new heights (car lift) also at the dealership....well I think that's about it, but I think I need to buy her a little black book for Christmas!

My dad has been the only one to drive mine other than me, and I was in the passenger seat.

So far it's been my wife and my next door neighbor Jason (close friend) but I'm sure ther will be others. I sell these beautiful cars and since letting Jason a.k.a. Git r dun take a turn behind the wheel he has put his money down on an incomming Camaro due in around Christmas! I've got another friend Debbie coming by tomorrow to drive mine and see if she would also like to put her name on one! I love making my friends happy new owners!

My husband drives it on occasion and I let my daughter drive it once. Oh, and the valet the other night. Other than that, I don't know of any of my friends who would actually ask me.

A valet will never EVER touch my car or get within 50 feet of it.
