Wheel Paint Code

Hi All,

Tried search, but kept getting a browser error.

is there a paint code for the black rims?
i noticed a flake on one of my wheels and as soon as i touched it the paint flaked off. Its not very large but on the black stands out like a sore thumb, for now i just want to touch it up, but will eventually get it properly fixed. Just wondered if there is a paint code / specific colour for the wheels.

Thanks

Great question. Try gloss black GBA or WA-8555 touch up. That’s the very common GM gloss black that the rest of the trim is in and every black car for decades. Don’t see why GM would do anything else with the wheels.
Make sure you get the proper amount of GM orange peel to blend. When you get tired of fixing all the chips if you drive it a lot, try a good gloss black powder coating.
Good luck

About wheel paint codes?

Is the wheel paint code listed on the RPO tag? I have the body color both in the RPO(GAN) and separately as a U636R(Silver Ice), but no clue as to wheel color. Looks like there are three silver wheel colors for 2010. Need the right one for touch up.

Good effect for the rims ! I've actually got paint wear on a few spokes, outside edges are ok. Local Chevy dealer tracked down the wheel color as WA263M Midnight Silver Metallic. Also for 2010 I found wheel colors WA569F Sterling Silver, and WA9753 Bavarian Silver. Local paint jobber lists Midnight Silver as a tri-coat(two base colors w/clear)
