Valentine Gen2 vs 2015 1SS Convertible TPMS

Some back ground is needed here I'm sure. I am relatively new owner of a '15 1SS convertible. I put my 1st gen Valentine radar detector after I got the car and due to COVID and winter weather I didn't drive it very much, but had no problems with TPMS warnings. I recently upgraded to a Gen2 Valentine detector. A week ago I was driving and got a TPMS malfuntion warning "have your TPMS system checked", when i checked tire pressure on the center dash display the right rear tire only displayed 2 lines "- -". After a few miles / minutes of driving the TPMS warning light went away. I own an Autel 508 TPMS programmer so I ran a diagnostic on the sensors and the all indicated good voltage, proper pressure, and temperatures. The DTC code logged was "right rear TPMS too few pulses". A trip to the tire shop resulted in a new TPMS sensor on the right rear tire. On the way home I received the same error much to my chagrine! I did a search on this forum and found a post about some problems with 2011 Camaros having TPMS problems with the wrong sensors and there was reference to a Valentine One maybe causing problems with TPMS errors. I was leaving for a cross country trip on Sunday. Sunday we left with my wife driving so I turned off the Valentine. We drove over 600 miles without any TPMS warning. I turned the Valentine back on and within 13 miles / minutes the TPMS warning came back on. I was wondering if anyone else has run across this problem?

Update: I drove the vert yesterday about 240 miles with the Valentine on but moved slightly to the right almost behind the rear view mirror without a TPMS light coming on. So I feel it is a matter of location, location, location that caused the problem.

I've had a Gen1 and last year upgraded to the Gen2 Valentine in my 2010 Camaro for 10 years.... no issues at all. That includes 2 round trips from Indianapolis to Outer Banks, NC with the Gen2.
