Remote tuning and wideband bung?

I live up in Alaska and have done some mods and now will need remote tuning done. One of my mods was to install Kooks long tube headers. I reached out to JRE and found out that they require a wideband installed on headers. I am under the impression that this means I will need to have a specific bung drilled and welded into my headers now? Am I correct in this assumption? If so I wish I would have done more research and had this bung installed prior to having the headers installed. If I recall the conversation correctly JRE will not tune my car without this work done. Anything I am missing or suggestions shy of trying to find a shop to install a wideband bung? Also do you think this can be done without pulling the header or headers if needed. Thanks for any help.

You can weld it into your mid pipe connection or y pipe . There’s mi. Distance you must keep from exhaust ports .you’ll see in the direction when you buy your wideband . Believe it’s 24” from exhaust ports and ideally at the 10-3o’clock piston .

Ted use to do these without the wideband req, but he mention with this requirement he only has to tune one time vs several logs to get it right.

Yup. I have this one and it works great.

I also use Ted at JRE for tuning with great results.

It's not bad. I use one and it works just fine. No leaks.
