Cam Choice?

I have a 2012 camaro 2ss 45th anniversary. its a ls3 6sp and I would like to go with a choppier cam. Something not too expensive i know they arent cheap. But is it just slap a cam in and tune or? I didn't know what the whole setup would be and if you could please name specifics in the setup.

You can go to either Gwatney Performance or Texas Speed and go through the cam kit selection and price out your parts that you will need for installation. Are you planning on doing the swap own your own or having a shop do it for you?

Anyway some of the major parts you will need are cam, pushrods, valve springs, trunnion upgrade, preferably new lifters, and gaskets.

I went with TSP and i love it. i have going super charger later this year so i went with a stage 2 cam. My suggestion is (if not installing it yourself) find a shop that can install and tune your car in the same visit.

Easiest way is to pick a cam you like , what power range ect..
Then call them and ask for there advice , GPI for one is excellent for customer service. And YES do the lifters and rocker upgrade too!
