2010 camaro perfomance accessories?

So far GM has told us that there will be a hurst short throw shifter, cat back exhaust and a tuned air intake system offered as performance upgrades. Anyone else know what may be offered? I am begging for a supercharger!

How much power do you need? Honestly if you wanted to you could tune that engine to easily pull 500 plus horses na, hell all you would have to do is use gross horse power like they did back in the sixties and you have over 500 hp.

Yeah but does anyone know if that 422hp rating is bhp or just to the flywheel? if its just flywheel horsepower then the camaro will have probably 400 horsepower MAX to the rear wheels.

I'm sure it's BHP, but at the same time, I'm pretty sure it's underrated.

I could see that. I'm sure the IRS is a partial culprit. Then again, this is only speculation. GM has lots of tricks up their sleeves.

How would the IRS cause more drivetrain loss than a solid axle?

Your guess is way off, if the power ratings are based at the flywheel then on average you'd lose between 12-16% HP at the wheels based on torque and weight of the car. If the new gen 5 is rated at 422HP at the fly then the guesstimate would be around 354.38HP (422 x .84, 16% loss) - 371.36HP (422 x .88, 12% loss).
Other sites and our own have mentioned that the LS3 is way under-rated for insurance reasons and the amount of aftermarket parts available will allow the weekend mecahanic to easily, easily get 500+HP to the wheels if done correctly and safely. Just my 2c. ")

With a better catback and intake what would that add the the 422hp?

If the LS3 is underated, what do you think it puts out at the crank?

Maybe it does put down 400 rwhp.

LS3 Corvettes pick up a rated 6hp with the optional butterfly valve exhaust. I expect the LS3 Camaro will see a similar gain with a freer flowing aftermarket catback. And it's already been said that GMPP will be offering one as a dealer-installed option.

Typically, a fixed axle would be able to distribute the power more efficiently than an axle that is designed to pivot.

I'm sorry, but I gotta see some physical proof of that, because it makes no sense as I understand basic physics.
