How about this for Drivers Education.

Check this out. This is a drivers education school in Franklin,IN about 20 miles north of me. You really get to drive a Camaro SS. I couldn't believe it when people were telling me about this(I thought yea right) till I seen it at a car show. Can you imagine being able to drive this in drivers ed.
Go to Road-skills.com to check it out.

Wow does that bring back memories

Back in 1978, (when I was 16), taking Drivers Ed, The owner of the company bought a '78 Camaro, (Yellow-Automatic), 78 Mustang, (Red-Manual), and 78 Corvette, (White-Automatic).

I signed up for as many hours as I could on all 3 cars. (What a Blast!)
I got to drive the Corvette for 1 1/2 Hours with the Owner. (He nick-named me "LeadFoot")

That's when I learned to really appreciate Fine Cars

Dave

We were blessed by the local Chevy dealer who donated a 4 door, vinyl bench seat, v6 automatic Malibu (no radio) and a 4cyl manual Chevette to our high school. Our instructor was every bit of 350lbs....don't know how he ever got into that Chevette!

I think we had big boat, Caprices too. The cool thing about my Driver’s Ed class was it was the last bell of the day. I simply drove myself home.

LOL! A 13-year old thread regurgitated by a spammer. I was looking at the responses wondering who these people are and then I looked at the dates. Still good for a laugh. For the record I learned at "Drive Right" in Rockford IL driving a Dodge Omni. Took my drivers test in a Citation X11. The early 80s were a depressing time in the automotive world.

Graduated in 2009 myself. No drivers ed class for us. I tried taking the drivers test in my high school friends 1991 Honda CRX SI, the day I turned 18. Failed it because I had never driven a manual before. The lady said she thought we were going to flip over when I took a turn from a redlight with too much acceleration because I hadn't figured out the clutch yet. Fun times, and a cool little car. It was actually REALLY clean. Kids nowadays definitely need drivers ed class because half of them can't drive to save their lives.
