Need extra info for removing oil pan
Hey, currently doing a oil drain for the LFX engine but not enough room there to drill a hole, I was thinking about using a punch but idk. Anyways I was planning on removing the oil pan but I heard you need to lift the engine atleast for the SS model is this true even for the V6?

Straight out o' the Chilton manual. Looks like a bit of a production to pull off the pan. If you're going to drill into the pan you definitely want it off so shavings don't get into your oil system during the drilling process. There's a few members out there that have installed turbos on the V6. Maybe find out how they did their oil return. I'd never attempt this but I'm fascinated by the challenge and the engineering involved. Good luck.
