Took the car for a quick rip yesterday. While car was shifting into 3rd during a lunch, i had a little shutter, and the CEL popped up. PO700 code on a $20 scanner. Visual inspection showed no signs of leakage or breakage. 4 miles back to the house, it shifted through the gears as it should.

While entering the garage, I attempted to put it in reverse. As i passed neutral, I felt thrust, as i hit reverse, the car was still.

M D N all give forward thrust, R is neutral, and Park provides slight car movement, then stops. It's like Park is reverse, but locking out.

Anyone ever heard or seen of something like this happening?

Car was tuned May 2022 by reputable shop. 1000 miles and 20 passes since tune, flawless

The PO700 code is the TCM sensing something is wrong and tells the computer to throw a CEL. When mine acted up on me there was the po700 code along with another code for what the issues was, the "output speed sensor". Check your fluid level to make sure it isn't low. And for great info on these 6l80's, read through this.

Your scanner probably can’t read the actual transmission codes. Need to try one that will read them.

No official news. Through conversations, most agree the trans is done. Leaning towards a TK Performance build, with an FTI TC, and finishing the puzzle with a DSS shaft!
