Cold air intake question

I know there has been tons of threads about this but i was wondering if anyone knew the actual numbers as to which CAI gives the best gains?

Has anyone posted numbers for the VR yet? I was thinking about getting the INJEN long tube instead of the VR. I've heard they are the same as far as gains, so I wanted to see if this has been verified ^.^. Thanks!

The Vararam has never been dyno proven to perform like the Injen. There have been members who have tested 0-60 and got identical numbers between the two. The injen gives 16hp as is the highest proven intake per the Janetty Racing Test

I've heard some great things about the AFE intake from my customers, you might want to throw that into the mix as well. AFE works on OEM equipment cars like they design all the Toyota TRD intakes just FYI

69 is the polished tube, 63 is black plastic. I heard maf issues or cel with the 63 but I cant confirm. Made power in the lower ranges of cai's.

Read all the dozens of threads, lots of feedback. Thats how I got the Injen.

CAI has features others don't. Insulated air box, ceramic coated tube inside and out. It also has a nice snug fit in under the hood, looks good and is customizable.

Here you go:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...hlight=test+v6

Note Vararam isn't on this test.

This doesn't tell the whole story as the dyno charts would. Its all about the increase in the rpm range you're driving. A higher peak HP @ 5500 RPM doesn't mean its higher at 3000 RPM.

Overall, 1-3 hp between them isn't going to make much difference especially due to other factors like air temp.

Just pick the one that looks good.

I'm currently at a toss up between Vararam and CAI. I like the Vararam look but I don't want any fitment issues to occur. CAI insulation and parts professional but the cost is pretty high.

So i have narrowed my selection down to either Injen or CAI. Anyone have anything bad to say about either? or which they perfer?

also i didn't seen injen on that list. Anyone have the gains for both to compare?

Could you possibly explain that a bit more? That is an interesting thing to hear and if it works I wouldn't mind having it.
