GMPP Factory Shorty Headers?

Does anyone know about the factory Shorty Headers.

It looks like you can order them through Phastek Performance. You are right about the price though. But if the HP and sound were there it would be worth it. I already have the gm performance exhaust. I'm thinking the factory headers would be matched better with the gm performance headers? What do u think.

i heard the shorties yield near 0 hp gains......sound benefit only.

go long tube (i got Kooks) if ya want any performance for the money. i hear the GMPP street exhaust sounds real nice w/ long tubes..

I think shorties will gain you some hp, 7 maybe. I think you have also install a CAI and a catback system in order to get power from the headers. You have to open up the whole system from intake to tailpipe. For those who don't want to mess with custom tunes to keep your warranty, shorties are a decent way to go. I am not looking to get 75 hp! I want good sound and maybe a few more hps, but I don't want to mess with replacing the factory cats.
Nelson - as far as which headers to go with, there are better prices with some of the other manufactures. I think ballpark they will all do the same job. There is nothing wrong with going with GMPP. If anything, if you did install the GM ones and had your dealer install them then the warranty would never be a problem.
