Truetrac Upgrade

I am trying to change the rear end on my 2012 Camaro ss manual. I have a DSS 1 piece aluminum driveshaft and my differential is starting to make noises from launches. What I am wondering is what is everything I need to build the rear end in the car and replace it with a truetrac. summit racing would be most convenient.

The guys at Summit would likely gladly tell you that, but basically the TruTrac carrier, a new ring gear kit in the ratio of your choice and I would recommend a master kit as well with all new bearings and seals. Of course, one quart of gear oil.

I'm also preparing for a gear swap. I just received my TruTrac yesterday, but everything CamaroCracka mentioned is on my list as well.

The only other thing I'm planning to get, which is completely optional, is an LPW cover.

I had mine set up @ a local shop & it is going in soon. AAM 3.91's with a master kit.

Bee, I was lucky to find a LPW cover on ebay awhile back. They are getting hard to find. I also heard that the Speedmaster covers have issues so if you consider one do some research.

Oh no...that's not what I want to hear, but thanks for the heads up. I guess I will have to start my search more sooner than later.

Good luck with your 3.91's!!

I have had a LPW cover on order for almost 10 months now, so be prepared to wait.

I did the Eaton true track install and used there install kit P/N K-GM8.6-10IRS. The kit had all the seals except the cover but did have Timken bearings.
