JMS Fuelmax wiring

hi, just about to install the JMS Fuelmax in my 2013 zl1 as my fuel pressure is at the limit.
Don't want to cut the cable just before the FPCM (red wire with white tracer)
want to connect the JMS Fuelmax in the trunk right fuse box, pull the FPCM fuse and insert a GTC Fuse connector and then connect the two cables from the JMS here.
I know this will mean 3 feet or so more cable which is thinner than the 10 gauge that comes with the JMS BAP.
I know this has been done by members here so just wondering how this worked for you guys?

I went this way for install which is the jumper although I did put an inline
fuse on the BAP for extra protection and also I used Velcro tape for the unit in the battery well as shown. Never had a problem and this will be the 10th year.

thank you very much for the reply sir.
did you set JMS output voltage @ 17.4 volts? Red something about not recommended to be used over 16v of out put on the GM cars duo ECU throwing diagnostic codes.
any experiance/issues on this one ?

My target was 16 v or could have been slightly higher ( I would have to pull my notes) if I can remember but I read last night when searching the forum that some said Ted was recommending 17 which I cannot validate as maybe he changed over the years. All I know is mine works perfect.

Many of my engineering friends have retired from the GM proving grounds but i do remember discussing the targeted max voltage for the FCPM was 16 and that number was for the excess on the pump. It probably can take a little more but we both know that just means a shorter life on the pump.

support that theory 100%. Since my modifications are quite moderate,18% crank pulley stock upper-72 lbs injectors-kooks LT headers-CAI i think the 16 volt output should ramp up the extra fuel pressure i need.
