Drag Times Camaro LS3 M6

Hello, I have done a 13.06 @111mph 2.0 60ft
On 275/45/20 Street Compound Tires.

Is this good? Can it go faster?

This is my first community post.

Seems all right but the bigger question is - do you really own a 92 Camaro with a 6 speed manual?

If you can get a better 60ft, it'll help a lot

I’m afraid to launch my early 2009 production, 2010 2SS manual coupe… Poor main output shaft production/manufacturing quality, as well as the early brass synchronizers in the TR-6060 gearbox… I’m good with babying my car most of the time now. LOL

I’m pretty sure I’d shred the hell out of 2nd and 3rd gear, as well as potentially snapping the main output shaft on my Tremec trans… When I first got into drag-racing, I never pre-loaded the drivetrain as much as I did when I started getting into high HP, RWD platforms.

I was planning on seeking out a 2013 2SS manual coupe, as those seem to be the best “middle ground” if you want a 10-12 SS, but with the 14-15 updated “goodies”. God knows I dread my hydraulic power steering system… It leaks and makes noises, and a bunch of the original/OEM cooling line/hoses and pump hardware are discontinued. The PS pump itself is semi-okay, but all the aftermarket versions suck ass and make noise (from trapped air, supposedly?).

Thats not bad for bone stock. My car consistently ran 13.0 at the track with an intake and then after a hot lap clicked off a 12.89. All 2.1 60fts on street tires.

I’m currently running some of the factory front 20” inch wheels all around (square setup), as well as the stock tire specs — 20 x 8, +55 offset, 245/45R20 tires. I haven’t tried running a 1/4 mile time in quite a while, but got your tires on my original staggered factory wheel setup. Think it’ll kill grip or something of the sort? Haha

I currently have Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus tires all around, and I’ve seen these to be a good street/all-season tire, compared to the factory Pirelli P-Zero tires.

I remember my first run, mostly stock, just a CAI, x pipe to delete the huge resonator, and an axle back exhaust, stock Pirelli's. First run was a 13.10@ 113mph,using the paddle shifters, then the second run about 45 minutes later, leaving the car in sport mode, she ran a 13.0@116mph, with a 1.89 60ft.. Never was able to get another run in because it got crowded, so I left pretty happy with that!

And now with the right wheel and tire, and maybe some weight loss, you could likely get into the mid to low 11s. With a great launch, of course.
