V8 Swap to V6 car ?

Anyone know what upgrades need to be made to put supercharged LS3 in my 2010 V6 car. I can put a motor in a lot cheaper then paying month after month for the V8 option.

from what i remeber reading it would be very hard to do, totally different set ups. i assume anything can be made with enough money but if you are trying to save and still get the V8, apparently this is DEF NOT the way to do it.

Somehow I find this hard to believe...

I think you'll find that going with the 1SS and adding a supercharger would have been much cheaper than what you are proposing...but I'll give you good marks for thinking outside the box.

Can the tranmission, drivetrain, suspension, etc. in the V6 handle a supercharged LS3?

I'll go out on a limb here and say...no. Aisin-Warner 6speed rated at 345 ft/lbs torque capacity.Ring and pinion smaller ( think 10 bolt versus 12 bolt) Of course if you just kinda motor around town it would live....for awhile,

actually,I don't think the Aisin-Warner will bolt up to an LS motor.Someone correct me if I'm wrong

I guess it would be cheaper if the motor was free and you have sweat equity?

There has to a reason why Hennessey requires that you get a 1SS or 2SS to start their work. MORE COMPLETe maybe. IT JUST SOUNDS TOO MESSY. MIGHT AS WELL TO AN LS7 crate engine from one of those fancy places.

The diff between comparable models is around $6.5 - 7k (2LT/RS vs. 2SS/RS)
I highly doubt you can get a LS3 and all other parts to modify/beef up the powertrain and chassis (conversion kits, wiring harness, ECM, etc.) then get it installed all for under $7k. Even if you could get close, you could have bought the SS to begin with and financed the $7k for around 3.9 over 5 years. If you have $7k sitting around, put it in savings or the market to make up the interest.
