AAC afterburner lights

I like the looks of the afterburner lights. What is the difference between the CCFL and the SMD lights though? The site doesnt explain it or I just didnt see it.

So, the CCFL, will you see the individual bulbs up close or whatever like you would on LEDs or no?

No, its will look just like the Halos on on the front of a RS.

Like everyone mentioned above, the CCFL is basically a glass tube and the SMD is more "LED" like and brighter.

One very important issue to consider is longevity between the two.

While they are priced the same, the SMDs will last longer for two reasons.

1.)There is no gas in the SMD's to "burn out" or "leak" and...

2.)The SMD's will handle shock and movement much better than the CCFLs will.

I mention this so that all buyers can make a solid, educated choice when it comes to selecting the correct afterburner model.

When you're ready for the best deal on either, shoot us a PM or email.

Thanks and enjoy!!

another thing to consider is the leds are brighter and are great if you smoked your lens covers.

I have both LED smd for headlight, foglight, and tail

I actually have all the LED smd version halo lighting purchased at AAC for the headlight, foglight, and taillight. The LED captures a lot of attention still for its unique brightness and the individual bulb lighting. The halo one is also good, but as someone said it will die out quicker because it uses a gas tube. I personally like the LED lighting, as the camaro already comes with halo lighting and so it's different than stock. The only problem I have so far is the fog LED halo lighting. Some LED lights on the fog lights are flickering on and off and some days it will all be on and some days some LED lights will be out. This is only happening for fog lights. Don't know if others have issues. This is my second set of fog LED halo lights and at first I thought I ordered the wrong light model, but it is correct and it was working properly when first installed for at least a month. Then it started acting up again. I now don't even want to bother taking it out and installing new one for fear it may cause more issues. The headlight and taillight afterburner LED halos have no problems though.

I like the SMD to match up with Led side markers...
