Why auction a new Camaro

I know a guy who works for Adesa Auto Auctions and he was telling me they had four Camaros (one of them a transformer edition) come through with six miles on the odometer.

Anyone know why either a dealer or GM would do something like that with these being as hot a car as they are? It's not like they are not selling.

my guess would be to much dealer stock. Dealers have to pay floor plan on cars in the lot so maybe they decided to quick sell.

Many reasons: Dealer goes out of business and just dumps its whole inventory there, dealer can't get rid of the car (it does happen even with these), car was damaged in transit and repaired, or it could be a trade in from a non-GM dealer. My dealer got a used SS wholesale from a Honda dealer with very low mileage, traded on an Accord, the Honda dealer called and said "WTF do we do with this?". They were gonna send it to auction otherwise.

Its a dealer auction that goes on weekly where dealers trade or move mostly used cars, and fleets sell out their expired cars.

Some dealers sold them to auction to get more money than selling them to the public.
