thoughts? Its not too bright, a little distracting at first, but down low and imbedded in the aluminum enough to really only project downwards....even used a black sharpie to darken it up another 15% or so. Thanks AAC for the LEDs!

So what turns it on and off? Is it on when the car is running, or is it activated by something else? Any worry of running the battery down if left on after leaving the car (if it's button activated maybe)?

accessories power, switches off after the car shuts off, or atleast a couple seconds after the car is shut off...it's tied into the cig lighter power

as far as led color, it's your standard 12v led with a small resistor on it, could come in any color I think. Got mine from Justin/AAC, you could ask him whats available.

see, I saw that trim panel, but my issue is that the center wings bend downwards and I didn't feel it would allow the light to eminate properly, this is exactly the reason I picked the part I did, that and I liked the round holes vs. the shaped holes of the piece you picked up. I definitely considered the one you got as I'm not a big spender, but wanted the ability to mount leds where I did. thanks for the compliments

yes, it doesn't bend up so much as it's completely flat. And it's about 8-9mm thick, so it facilitates drilling out a nice deep spot for the led to lay in.
