I was just wondering if this system passes inspection here in Texas. Since it's like a straight pipe/no cans... Steve said it would, however I want some reassurance from a person in the same State.

I'm from NY and wondering the same thing. I think we'll be o.k. because there IS a muffler, it's a single center mounted instead of dual rear mounted. As long as the sound isn't too loud. I don't even think they do a db level test here, they just want to make sure you have mufflers of some sort. Sorry I can't speak for TX.

What exactly are you worried about? Are you worried you wont pass the emissions part of your inspection, visual, or... what? Mufflers don't have anything to do with emissions if that is your concern.

yes passing inspection is my concern. the law says muffler and i always took it as the muffler were the "cans".
