Yes, Paxton and Vortech are the same company. Well, their different companies, but their owned by one entity, and their built under the same roof, by the same people.
But there are some distinct differences between the headunits. They are not the same blower. |

Same blower. The NOVI has a billet gear case cover. That is it, besides the badge. The SL means it's self contained. Just like the Vortech V-3. I worked at the big V for 11 years, you got questions, I have answers.

Steve is most wise, and also correct.
Although there are usually significant differences between the Vortech and Paxton Supercharging Systems for most vehicles, these 5th Gen. Camaro systems are quite similar. Initially intended to be the Vortech version of the system, the finished product was so comprehensive and well designed that there wasn't much in the way of alterations that could be made to differentiate a Paxton system further without compromising its features or benefits in one form or another. So, we decided to go ahead and release the system under the Paxton name as well with virtually no changes other than brand labeling. That way, anyone who prefers the heritage of the Paxton name can outfit their new Camaro with a supercharging system that will not only do the name proud, but also dust the competition in the process!

Wow, awesome to know. I was under the impression that they used some sort of different blade design.
Great info. |

It really depends. If you are talking about the NOVI 2000, then it is, indeed, a completely different compressor that resembles nothing on the Vortech side of things. The NOVI 2000 has been used famously in Viper Systems, and various Mustang Systems over the years. However, NOVI 1200, 1500, 2200, etc. are similar in style and design to Vortech units.
