MyLink Navigation Stopped Working

Did a search but can't find anything

I have a '13 ZL1 with MyLink and Navigation system. It stopped working on me the last month or so. Every time I turn the navigation on, it just stay on one location somewhere very far away from where I am. The is no gps signal I can see. However everything on the MyLink system works. All the buttons, settings, radio, xm, usb, etc.

I am trying to take it to a dealer soon but I want to know before hand that if anyone have experience with his malfunction. I'm hoping someone in this forum can explain what needs to be done. Is this a software fix or a MyLink replacement situation?

Thanks

MPR,
I'm not sure if this would help at all, but I read through the GPS section of your Infotainment System manual and see that to re-calibrate the vehicle's position on the map, you should park the vehicle running for two to five minutes until the position updates (p. 65).

Let us know if we can be of any assistance in working with the dealership to get this checked into.

Thanks for the customer care.

Here is what my nav looks like. The nav position is at the General Motors Techinical Center at Michigan (Actually where you are). I'm all the way on the West Coast. Doesn't matter how long I have the car idle, it just doesn't get any GPS signal shown in the picture.

In the mean time, any information is appreciated. I'm scheduling for warranty service this week or next. I'll update.

Update

I got my car back yesterday after the dealership took it for 5 days. They had to order and replaced the entire mylink unit. It works now. I notice that there was some item looks newer then before, probably a software update. I must say chevrolet service was top notch.

A completely new MyLink unit? Wow, I'm happy that everything was resolved for you and the system is operating to your expectations. Let me know if you have any further concerns and thanks for your updates.

Which city/St resolved the MyLink gps problem defaulting to Michigan? The GM Service for our 2015 Camaro SS 6.2 is clueless. Weve left it 4 days. Today they had us scheduled for 2 days but are too busy. It's our only car. Since no parts are involved they won't provide a loaner. Now we're to take it back Mon 6-27-16 to Tues. We're told a Denver Electronics Technician won't assist Canon City Service GM until he has exhausted all opts. Well guess what times up. I pd 40k to CO Springs and can't even get it to be parked in inside let alone them clean up glass or carpet they dirtied.
