Mufflers I painted

I decided that I did not like the look of the mufflers, below the rear valance and did a little "rattle can art".

Looks good gonna hit mine when I get home hopefully warm enough. Was thinking of this very mod this afternoon when walking up to car from behind. Good cheap mod to.

How will that paint hold up because I know in the summer those casings are gonna get hot!

I'd have to agree wit POWERFREAK on this one. You should have gone to your local Hardware, ACE or any store that has a garden center and picked up a couple of cans of Bar-B-Que black paint. It comes in gloss, satin and flat but the most important thing is it withstands temperatures up to 1000 degrees. Not sure if your Krylon will hold with the heat and possible moisture.

I've used this stuff on painting my running boards on my Honda Element and it held up very well. Something you might want to consider if it starts to peel off. It does look 100% better being black though. I swap out my exhaust for an American Thunder axle back which comes in black and sits a little higher than the valance but your painting was a consideration.
