Are you comparing performance or parts of the car that glow? The obvious performer is the Camaro. The obvious thing that glows is the Civic. Are you more into tachometer lights or cars that are fun to drive?

My brother smoked a newer SI and i mean SMOKED it in his stock 05 4.0 stang.
I dont know why anyone would buy an SI, you put premium gas in it for what, a POS?
And im not lieing, i have come on the forum and worte about how shocked i was when a Mazda 3 Speed was on my ass. Had a hard time shaking him a my 2LT/RS

I hate civics, there only fun when you have friends in the car because its easy to show off. But when your by yourself, its just annoying running into them because they think theyre soo damn fast. Check theyre 0-60 times, its a joke to pay that price for a car which needs premium btw.

Anywho, here's how the performance stats stack up:

Slalom: -68 mph- --68 mph
Skidpad: 0.85g -----0.9g
60-0:--- 120ft -----110ft


The Si is a little behind in power to weight, but is severely lacking in torque. The car will hardly accelerate if you mash the gas and are turning anything less than 5000 rpm. You won't even save money on gas. While the Si gets better mileage, it requires premium vs the regular for the Camaro negating the gains. The ride quality and driving dynamics of the Camaro should also be better.

Put it this way, I put ground on a new Eclipse GT with a RENTAL V6 Camaro... Civic Si has NOTHING on the V6 Camaros.

Like other have said, you will have to rev the crap out of it to get any power so around town driving will suck compared to the V6 in the Camaro.

As for technology, the V6 is direct injection, which is pretty high tech these days.

And the doors and the seats and the exhaust and the fact that it's a honda.. But you gotta love that v-tec.. They get a good 700hp if they have the right stickers on them.
