Question about Camaro Stripes - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I was curious if anyone with other body colors / option packages (non Transformers Edition) would comment on their Camaro stripes. On the Transformers Edition I found they're sort of an applied decal (not to put it down, still looks cool) But curious if other stripe packages are paint or add on? My main concern is catching a chip on the hood from highway driving or something and the repair method to fix it.

Yes, they're all vinyl decals!!!!!!

Mine is also a decal. I am not crazy about it, but it does make the car look better. It seems to be turning kind of white, but I think some of that will come out when I am able to detail it when the weather shapes up.

You'll find a mix here. All the factory stripes are vinyl decals. Some have stripes painted on by body shops.

Vinyl is not all bad. I had an 04 Z06 commemorative edition with factory vinyl stripes. Had it for a few years, they still looked perfect the day I sold it.
