Question Need advice on aftermarket spoiler defects

Ok, got my new RKSport spoiler today, and am a little disappointed in the quality. It has an area that has a small crack, and also has a small hole in the top where it looks like one of the mounting screw was screwed in a bit too far.

I'm used to fiberglass body pieces not being 100% perfect and needing a good body man to clean stuff up, but I'm undecided on what to do with this.

Do you guys think I should return it and try again, or just have my body guy fix the defects and go on down the road? I don't really want to send it back as it took a while to get it in the first place...

Send these pictures to the manufacturer and tell them to either send you a new spoiler (and pay the shipping for the new one and the return of this one) or you can get an estimate from your body guy and tell them to send you a refund in that amount to fix the spoiler.

Im sure if there was a defect on the item they should make you priority and send you one asap.

you might wanna call them and see how long its gonna take. If its too long and cant wait then id say go with your body guy. then again thats more $$ you wouldnt have to put into it.

Return for exchange... you pay for an item to be top quality.... I'm sure they will do it immediately.... they dont want their name tarnished and it will bring more attention to their quality control, so something hopefully wont happen like that again... just my 2 cents!

They have a rep on the forums I believe, henri26900. Try contacting them and see if they can help.

If anything, you could ask for a discounted refund and use that money to have the body guy fix it. That would probably be the fastest and cheapest way, depending on how much shipping costs.

I'm sure they'll take care of this. No one wants to have a reputation for poor customer service or poor quality.

Oh, I'm sure they'll take care of it too. A discounted refund so the body shop could just fix it would be great. I'm not stressing about it or anything and I'm certainly not bad mouthing RKSport. I'll be getting their full body kit when the tax return comes in.

Yes, sir. You are correct. They are absolutely first class. It's only been a few hours since I received the spoiler and I've already heard from RKSport and they've arranged for a replacement to go out immediately. Thanks for all the advice and kudos to RKSport for great service!
