USPS no Sat delivery / A CC companies dream

USPS no Sat delivery / A CC companies dream

Why, well member about 6 months ago the Prez signed a bill making it illegal for them to have your bill due on a Holiday or Sunday as they did that to try and trip ya up into having your payment be late.

But now if congress gives USPS approval to stop Saturday delivery you can bet everyone’s bill will now suddenly be due on a Sat now to try and trip ya up.

Fedex will then start Sat delivery I bet as it mostly non-union and can get it done easier then UPS.

[sure you can do auto pay and bla bla bla but not everyone is computer savvy or can pay bills early as half of them send in a bad check as they won't get paid till the day before its due.]

Ehh, maybe the US should get out of the delivery service altogether. Let FedEx, DHL, UPS handle this stuff.

I worked for UPS, I wouldn't trust them to ship a battleship, wrapped in another battleship, wrapped in another battleship.

DHL is a scam, mail fraud artist dream how they allow folks to grab fake tracking numbers without paying. And when they skipped town here, they left lots of bad tastes in everyone mouth. [yea DHL left this area, closed shop n split in the wee AM]

Fedex is nice.

"yes, i'd like that overnighted, and could I get the battleship packaging please?: that is awesome, you should patent that!

Also, DHL is crap. They somehow 'lost' some servers (computer servers, VERY expensive items) when we were using them for shipping a while ago. They're officially blacklisted for Wells Fargo now, we won't use them to send blank paper.

Even after the law went into effect, so they lost money on that deal.

We get daily shipments from UPS and I am still amazed how some boxes will show up! I love giving the driver a hard time (cool guy, he jokes about it too) and I tell him UPS could break a cannonball!

I thought that DHL left the states?

I remember seeing them all over the place, but I haven't seen them for at least a year. Uh... FedEX is f****** everything up nowadays, I haven't seen an undamaged box delivered by them in a long time now.

But I trust UPS, I've got a good friendship with my UPS guy. If I'm not at home or something and I get one of those "we'll come around tomorrow" notices and I see him around, then I just walk over and get it from him. Nice guy.

If the USPS is really losing money by working on Saturday, can't be proven. I mean yes there are statistics and data, that may or may not prove that statement to be true, the USPS is operating as a government agency and could be closed on saturdays, if the legislature passes. The only big problem is that there should be a paragraph included in the bill stating that banks and other institutions should allow for more time before statements are due, for example instead of you have 20 days it should become you have 20 business days.

I wonder though what's going to happen with the private transportation contractors that they use.
