help is black worth it for my situation

hey guy's joker here i just wanted to get some info

i am currently driving a silver car i clean it and polish it once every 2 weeks i talked to some people that own black cars, and the say that black is very hard to clean. They said you have to clean it very often or it will not look good at all then there is the issue of swirl marks i don't know that much about car care i just use what my dad taught me. I never had a black car so i might be a little scared that it might be too much to maintain but it's my fav color other than abm and iom.

any thoughts about cleaning or anything to know beforehand before transferring from non-dark to a dark car. or anything you experienced would be awesome thanks.

You gotta do what makes you happy, but after my '79 black Trans AM I said no more black cars ever! But the RJT is not a whole lot better for showing dust.

Love my Black SS! Yes, it shows the dirt easier, just like most of the darker colors do. They all get swirls - and for the most part, it's us that are putting them in. Get whatever color makes you happiest (I suggest going to see them at a dealer or 2 since there are LOTS out there) and then take care of it to the level that satisfies you - sounds like you do a good job already.

Good luck! I don't think you can go wrong on a color choice

No more black cars for me, EVER. Imho they look good twice, the day you buy them, and the day you sell them.

But at the same time a well taken care off black car can be gorgeous, just too much upkeep for me.

After my black Civic, I swore to never own a black car again. However, when clean black is one of the nicest colors out there. And you can always learn how to wax a vehicle. Lots of great tips in this forum.

Go to a dealer and see them for yourself. Pictures don't do these cars justice. I say get ABM if you can find it, but I'm biased. You should get the color that you want.

black is a PITA.. it's dirty after you wash it.

Need to wax it INSIDE the garage, as any heat/sunlight and the WAX will leave swirl marks on the car.

They do look awesome when done right, though.

I will stay away from black. Too much upkeep.

i have owned 2 imperial blue trucks and now have a black camaro, i wash it once a week try to wax once a month and yes waxing in the garage is best. But after 1 day or so of driving it will be dirty...so if u like to clean ur car often go for it if ur busy try a lighter color
