Flowmaster amt axle-back exhaust kit V6 too short????

Followed exact directions on this video:

Cut the pipe 9 inches back exactly from where they said and now when I tried to fit the exhaust onto the pipe it doesnt reach far enough????
Anyone know anything about this? I am absolutely positive I followed directions and length directions as well. The exhaust is just too short.

there was another very similar post a while ago... IIRC the member misread the instructions and cut in the wrong place...

That's the thing though, I know for sure that I cut in the right place. I watched the video multiple times before cutting. If anything I left extra space on the pipe to be connected.

It's 9 inches from the front of the hanger Not from the back of it.

check this post:

He measured from the back of the hanger not the front... Seemed a bit confusing to me... the front of the hanger is actually towards the back of the car...

Measure from the tip of the steel hanger, where it protrudes from the rubber hanger. I was also confussed and might have made the same mistake if I hadn't seen the previous post on this issue. Go back and watch the clip again and you will see where he first positions the end of the tape measure.

Wow thanks scrming you were right.
Huh, wished they would've made it more clear, I bought this system because it had nothing to do with welding and was an easier bolt on setup. Looks like i'm gunna have to take it in to get welded now.

Exactly!
Well I guess I'm going to take my right muffler to a shop tommarow and have a couple inches welded on to fit around the pipe and then do the other one normal from here.

LOL... It happens, you cut from the wrong end of the hanger ... Mine went in just fine cut from the front of the hook, nine inches back ...
