California Car Duster, detail spray, and micro-fiber towels.

There is no way, to keep black completely clean. As you know. Just owning it, weather you park it in a garage or not. Or cover it. It gonna collect duct. Beautiful Color. But very hard to keep clean more that a few momments... lol. I was gonna order my camaro black, than I remembered how hard it was to keep clean. (1978 Black on Black Z-28, I loved that car) My very first new car! So, this time, I figured I'd stay away from black. And I ordered Red Jewel Tintcoat... Love'd the color and it would be easier to keep clean. Wrong... RJT is just as difficult to keep clean as black. Silver is the only color that doesn't show daily road dust.

Actually, I know a lot of people like micro-fiber towels but I don't use them. I use cotton diapers because they produce little or no static to attract dust.

They still make cotton diapers? I'll have to check into that.

Careful, the downfall of cotton diapers is that many are stitched with Polyester thread. Poly is a touch thread and can scratch your paint.

My Camaro is my first black car ever, and what people need to remember is that the dust you see very easily on the black paint, is also on any other paint color, you just don't see it as well, but it is there. So to say black gets dusty faster than others is wrong, you are just more aware of it. Owners of other colors may not be as careful about the dust and dirt because they can't see it!! I've always kept a clean and waxed car, and black is definitely a challenge, but when its clean, its the most beautiful car on the road!!!!

The CGM doesn't show dust too bad until you get really close. It looses a little of the metallic flecks but the color stays pretty good. Now when you get up close you can see the layer of dust and pollen (damn spring) but from a distance it looks fine.

Yeah, it's tough keeping the black SS from looking dusty, but I give it a quick california
dusting and Z6 if needed and she cleans up really fast. I have so much zaino on my car that after I dust you would swear I just waxed it again. I never allow it to get too dirty.

Yeah, I here ya. I will tell you though with a really good base of Zaino(or whatever product you like-I have litterally over 30 coats of Zaino(Z5) on the car) it really makes for a quick detail and then I am off enjoying the car.
