Im getting lots of tiny paint chips on the lower body with 315 tires wider rims

Starting to piss me off how this paint sucks ass.

My car now has the stock rims widen with aggressive custom spacers. The car looks insane in person so MEAN.

I am getting alot of chips on the lower fender and on the lower quarter panel area where the hash mark indents are.

I honestly dont want to install mudflaps or that clear 3M stuff but I need to do something. it might be caused from the terrible gravel and road debris the winter left on our roads.

Anyone else have this problem and have a remedy that looks ok?

Right now it seems to be narrower tires, mud flaps, or clear cover.

That's normal. I clear bra protected my whole rocker panels, and the whole gill area up to the body line above the gills, also a foot or so up behind the rear wheel wells. Gotta pay to play. It's not the paint, any paint will chip under the same circumstances.

I can understand not wanting the mudflaps, but what is your issue with the 3m? It does a great job and is barely noticable when installed well.

or you could try these.....

Happens to every car made, I'd recommend clear bra material for the best appearance. Those areas don't really bother me too much though, cars were meant to be driven not showcased

The clear 3M protection on the lower area of our fenders and doors does not show up hardly at all. My 305's tires are tight into the fender wells but as a precaution I am going to get 3M installed. BTW, my car is silver ice. Good Luck

I say screw it and drive it as is and if it gets terrible il just have the quarters resprayed

i think putting the 3M now would be pointless of the chips

they are not the worse i have seen and i can easily touch them up.

the Wider stickier tires and the road debris from this winder caused it. i even got some chips on my brake calipers its a mess out here.
