Cloth seat problem

I just noticed today my cloth seat is wearing on the side of the seat as I get in. I have only had the car 7 months and sure it's gonna get worse. Sorry I don't have pics yet, I'm typing on my iPod. How far do the dealers go to fix something like this.

like people were saying in the leather seat wearing off thread, its under the warranty so you have nothing to worry about, granted your warranty is still intact

Many GM field personal will consider it a wear or user error item if it proves to be excessive abuse of the material.

I know, that on my 1998, SS, I which had leather, if I wasn't careful about how I got in the car, it would really take a toll on the side of the seat.

I ended up learning how to put my sorry rear end in the middle of the seat instead of sliding over the side bun. It help relieve a lot of wear on the car.

I still do the same thing with my 2010. Helps save wear on the leather. It should do the same for cloth.

Just a suggection.

Most likely the dealership would consider it as "customer abuse" (their favorite line). Coverage would be if the threads break off during seating or dye color fading. Now with the spring and summer temps on the highs, more of us will sweat and cause the fabric and lining to fringe and eventually brittle in time. Use a “GOOD” seat cover which helps.

Well, to get personal, how much do you weigh?

I'm 6'-0" and 230 lbs and though in shape feel like my weight may be to much for my seat over time.
