Dear GM,

Is it possible to redesign the front wheel well a little so it flares out behind the front wheel, to prevent rocks from flying up and hitting the gills? I've seen some cars designed in such a way.

Right now behind the front wheel, the wheel well goes inward providing a triangle shaped gap for rocks to slip through to hit the gills - a problem all Camaro owners are facing.

I believe it would not affect the appearance of the car for the wheel well behind the front wheel to flare out a little to fill in this "gap". It can flare inward again after that.

Appearance wise it will look a little like having the splash guards installed, except it won't stick out at the bottom, and it won't look so obvious because it will blend into the body.

You could install the small flaps that are sold through GM. I've seen quite a few members with those installed.

i wouldn't get the flaps. as there has been people who have the flaps and still get rock chips on the gills. I don't know much about clear bra but that sounds like the best option i've read on these forums
