Metal noise when disengaging 1st gear

I don't know if this is a common Manual car issue or me? , but whenever I press the cluth to change from 1st gear to neutral to coast, I hear some metal noice, like loose metal. Note the noise happens as soon as i press down completely on the clutch and not while changing the gear.

I had this exact same noise happen to me in my last manual car, about 10 years ago. That car was made in the 80's.

Is it just me or is it something possibly wrong with the car?

Am I pressing the clutch too late, meaning too low of rpm's? or what am I doing wrong?

Common on the T6060 trans. The new Vettes are the same, and experience the same noise when pressing in the clutch at low RPMs or coming to a stop.

How many miles were on the car when you bought it? Its normal for these trans to make noise but not a metallic noises its more like a thump noise is normal when in operation.

Its possible that someone did not follow the manufacture break in procedure and abused the car before the break in period. I went threw two 2010 camaros the other i found out was raped at the dealership and the transmisson was making all kinds of noises. My other camaro makes operational noises but no metallic noises.

The car had 28 miles when I bought it. The noise is a thump noise with some loose metal noise. On the other gears it works just fine with only "operational noises".

I believe its just the drivetrain unloading when you depress the clutch. Happens most often on inclines.
