Waiting waiting waiting until the unannouncement of the announcement from GM that the Z28 was on hold.
Since then we have seen GM do backflips over the success of the Camaro sales and have gone ahead wiith the release of the convertible.

With the the focus now on other issues like fuel economy and green, do you think we will ever see a GM factory built Z28?

Your opinions please...

It will happen. One of my friends here confirmed it and he has got a lot of insders in GM because he gets pre-production cars to work on prior to the public even knowing about them.

Even the mustang and challenger guys think the Z/28 is coming..

absolutely it's coming. GM isn't selling any Corvettes, and so it's compensating with Camaros. Haven't we read somewhere that GM makes an additional $7k profit on SS compared with the V6? Well imagine how much profit they're going to squeeze out of the $10-$15k premium on top of the $7k "wiggle-room" they have. That's potentially a lot of profit for GM.

Z/28 will come, just shy of the Shelby in price, close in performance. Less 1/4 mile, more road course, just my uneducated opinion.

You know what - you crazy GM insiders should write a post something like this:

"I cannot confirm that the Z/28 is coming out in April 2011, I cannot confirm that it has the LSA engine and will look like the motortrend render, but with different rims, and will weigh the same as the SS". In other words - word it like you're not really saying anything!

I believe it will come. If there's a market for a car like the GT500, there is for Z28. Why else would we see testing of a camod' Camaro that we did recently? When and what it will be are still up for debate, lol.
