Did you go to the Vancouver Autoshow?

So did ya?

I was there today - it was better than last year I thought, but nothing too great. to me, it's just a great place to sit in cars and not get hassled by sales guys. I checked out both the mustang and the challengers. They're all nice cars..i prefer the interiors of the mustang/challenger to that of the camaro..but every time I see the camaro - wow, i'm so happy and proud to have ordered.

i want my car NOW.

Other highlights - the porsche panamera: this was much nicer in person and the interior was amazing. Also the jaguar XkR(?)..that was also nice (interior-wise)..probably the one of the best there.

Anything caught your eye at the show?

I in contrast liked last year's show better. I'm not really sure why... Possibly because I had never been to SEMA when I attended last years show... And this show is my first show since attending the last SEMA show...

They only had an auto SS camaro, Rally Yellow with the black stripes there. It wasn't even a transformers edition.. I don't recall if it had RS, but no GFX. Had the sunroof.
It still demands a lot of attention ! But the vette beside it was getting more.

There seemed to be less companies present at this years show.

The Reventon was a beauty, but hard to get a good view with everyone trampling eachother.. To take photos. The rims they put on were not all that great... And boasting it as a tuned Reventon with nothing but rims added to my knowledge... is kind of lame. (why modify a 1/20 in the world car?) sure.. it's now the only reventon with aftermarket wheels... (then pick better wheels).

The two Spyker's were cool.

The Camaro was one of the only vehicles I bothered to wait around to get in... I have one already... but I don't have the sunroof or the automatic... just wanted to touch ! hehe .. Glad I went with neither of those options though.

The AMG was nice. Overall I was not pleased because the parking lot outside had a more impressive assortment of vehicles than the majority of the main show room.
Just felt that a lot of the displays were old (same as last year) or not optioned out very well.

I think I would have gone regardless if only to see the Reventon.

What a disgrace, "tuning" a Reventon.
Why would you want to change up a car that there are only 20 copies of in the world?
Those rims they put on looked worse than the originals, imo.

interesting points. i sat in the camaro too ...but in the passenger side. i have one on order, so it wasn't a big deal. the guy next to me was 6'5..his head was touching the roof. i'm not sure, but he believed the seat was all the way down.

i was there to see what the other cars were like, particularly the challenger and mustangs.

like you said, it's probably something i would've attended regardless. would i go next year? probably not...then again, if i was bored that day...
