I didn't get much out of the IDL.....Most of the info was a repeat, and then questions that could have been answered by picking up the ordering guide.

I DID ask about the ambient lighting.....it is expected to make it into the 2LT and 2SS models.

I did get to say hi & thanks to John & Cheryl though....and I missed out on some nice diecast cars by being one call in too late

Thanks Scotty, kinda had a feeling after the released stuff this week there wouldn't be much to hear today. That bites missing out on the diecast car!

lol well i dont feel so bad about not being able to sit here and serial refresh during the IDL, its a shame we didnt learn anything new though...

They didn't happen to reconsider the plans to only offer it with leather did they?

I sure as heck won't be buying leather seats so I guess I'm SOL on the ambient lighting as well.

So, ambient lighting comes with leather correct? We do not have to order the ambient lighting seperately?

Correct, you choose leather and you get the ambient lighting auto.

I, too, got absolutely nothing from the IDL except confirmation about the absense of blue from the SS models... which completely caught everyone in our room by surprise... we honestly thought it was just an oversight... the sales manager I was sitting there with was completely pissed... I think this is going to be GM's biggest mistake yet with this car.

my dealer just called me-

they said from what they've heard is that a 2SS would run $37k+ out the door (i've expected it to be lower as well as many others. i told the dealership i don't want to pay for than 35)

From my understanding, i thought we could change a a few options and such once pricing is anounced. My dealer is telling me to get the 1SS and add on the options that I can, because he doesn't seem to think i can change anything on a 'sold order'?

so my questions are:
why does the 1LS come w/ the convenience pkg option but the 1SS doesnt?!
can i change my options (ie order 2SS and if its too expensive change it to a 1SS) on a sold order?

he's only getting 6 and i'm #5...i think i'm going to order one even if i do get deployed, be like a gift waiting for me

while in Indy, we asked about pricing and were told that it might not be announced on the IDL today... and it wasn't... but we were assured that if you ordered a 2010 Camaro and you put your order in early, then found out later that it was too expensive for your budget, you would be allowed revise your order accordingly to meet your budget, as long as production of your car wasn't started and a VIN number had not been assigned.

That's good to know... don't want to run into what happened with the mortgages issue, buying something you couldn't afford.

I think GM knows it's scary for us to pre-order without a price, so thank you GM for allowing us to revise our order just in case. Totally understanding if the VIN was assigned and production started.. but we should know prices way before that happens.
