Window Tinting, Pittsburgh Area

Hello fellow Pittsburghers. I'm looking for a recommendation for a shop to tint my windows. I looked at Ziebart in wexford, but their high performance tint only has a 5 year warranty. I didn't think that warranty was satisfactory, but I've never had windows tinted on a car before. I need a recommendation on a shop, % of tint (I was thinking 35 or 40%), and length of warranty that is satisfactory. Can someone help me out?

He does a lot of work for the steelers, penguins, a lot of high end people, etc. At first I thought that was an exaggeration, but then I saw his photo album with him tinting various cars in his garage, such as a bugatti veyron, ferraris, countless porsches, etc. He does very good work, and is a very nice guy. He tinted my car at his house, treated me out to breakfast, and we even sat around and watched the race (he's a huge f1 fan).

I got 20% all the way around on my car. It looks SICK. With the factory tint, my windows registered 12% on his meter with the 20% he did. It of course comes with a lifetime warranty.

Tell him Dan Hacker sent you and he should hook you up with a good price.

John that used to tint out of Terry's Auto Glass in Greensburg has his own shop now in Youngwood. Don't know if that's anywhere close to you but he does awesome work!

he works out of a shop in indiana, a shop in monroeville, and his house in monroeville.... he might have a couple other shops he goes to, but those are the ones I know of.

Advantage Window Tinting.... John did my windows and did an awesome job.

I'm thinking 35 or 40% on all but front window. I dont know though, 35% looks a bit dark.

Can you give me an idea of the cost for your tint job? I am considering getting mine done.

I had mine done at Blue Wave Autospa. It's on McKnight Road in the North Hills. I got 35% all the way around, and it was about $175 or so.

They use 3M, Solar Guard, and Johnson Films, and guarantee it for as long as you own your car. I left them my car for the day, but they can do it in 2 or 3 hours if needed.

I dealt with Mark, and their number is 412-931-4332

I had one issue where the film peeled a little (due to the autoindexing windows), and they got me back in in a day or so to fix it.

I like their location. I know exactly where it is. I contacted them by email for some more information. I'm probably going to end up doing it. I'll have to ask my bro if he will follow me down one day so we can kill some time after i drop off.

I am scheduled to get mine tinted on the 29th of June at a shop down here in Morgantown WV, they use a Johnson film which is supposed to be metalized(sp) and it's supposed to be pretty good quality. The shop has been there for 20 years and they do tons of cars. and they do most cars for 99.95. I will post Pics and my impressions on the board later on. If anyone wants the number# PM me and I will get back to ya in a day or so with the info. Figured if you wanted a good quality tint job at roughly half of what the locals are charging it might be worth the trip down. I know there are many that have drove down from the burgh just for the tint job. the dude that owns the shop runs it here from april til I think november then goes to florida and does it down there as a mobile intaller during the winter months. so definitely experienced. Believe I am getting 35% since it is state law in wv, even then I think it looks pretty good, and SIM makes it look a tad darker than on other colors IMO.
