anyone ever get the insecure Internet activity Threat of virus attack? its pissing me off how do i fix? what free scan programs will get rid of it

AVG Free - anti-virus
Spybot Search and Destroy - anti-spyware
Ad-Aware - anti-adware

All of them are free on Download.com. Make sure to get the free version of each and not the paid version w/ 30 days to register. Run all 3 as they each catch stuff the others don't. Also use "add and remove programs" to uninstall any programs you don't use or don't recognize. (you can google them if you aren't sure)

And from experience (12+ yrs as a computer tech) -- this is some good information.

You can follow up with the programs listed in the post before mine to be sure everything else is clean.

If you have multiple infections before you discovered this, it might turn out to be a lot more involved than that. But these are the basics.
