launch mode

i guess on the manuel it has launch mode where it revs to 4000 rpm that means u wont be able to rip burnouts and does the traction control stop u from burning out even when it is turned off i just want to know if i can rip big burnouts

Send a message via AIM to headpunter

In addition to what headpunter said, you can disable traction control. I don't see why traction control would stop you from wasting rubber if it was off.

At the prices of 20" tires, I doubt I will be burning much rubber.

Ive read all the threads on this, and can technically explain it, but Im still wondering what the benefit of it actually is. Ive driven manuals all my life. so this limits the REVs to what ever i set it to, so it will keep me from spinning the wheels at launch, thus a quicker take off??????? Is that even CLOSE? I need some racing tips from some of you guys that have experience. Like when the best time to shift is when racing and all that good stuff.

I don't really think it holds your RPM steady, that does'nt seem like a big benefit. It makes more sense that it would control the throttle during launch to prevent excessive wheelspin, but hopefully without closing the throttle too much. I think it will help you find that sweet spot of keeping the rpm up and maintaining maximum acceleration. Otherwise it would just be like standard power killing traction control.
