3M Di-Noc on my engine cover
So I bought a big sheet of the 3M Di-Noc Carbon Fiber vinyl hoping wrap my roof. I watched some videos on youtube and it seemed easy but it wasn't. If you have never done vinyl work do not even try, just take it somewhere it is worth it lol. It was so hard to do without getting wrinkles or bubbles even with a blowdryer heating it up. I took it off and decided to wrap my engine cover with some of it instead of throwing it out. I clear coated it a couple times to give it a shine. Does anyone know if it will melt? I hope not, it took me like 2 hrs to do.

I can't help you with the question, sorry, but that looks nice. I'm not a fan of the CF look, but that's pretty dang cool.

I didn't even try to wrap it myself because it is a big pain!!
It does look good however. I don't know if the clearcoating will actually help it, it may do more harm than good. ![]() I had my cover wrapped by a local guy and it takes a lot of time and patience. I have had the cover on with more than 12,000 miles of daily driving and it has held up extremely well. Congrats to you for attempting it on your own!! |
