The sound actually gets better with time! I had a slight drone around 2k rpm (highway cruising speed) and since I put the Injen CAI and DT shorty headers on last week that is pretty much gone. I say pretty much, because it is still there at times, but much less noticeable than before the headers went on.

I installed FatMat in the trunk today and the drone from my solo at 2k RPM is gone ! No more drone at all ! This stuff is easy to install and will also make your radio sound better.

If you have a solo exhaust this is a great and easy install to get rid on that drone !

Do you mind linking the info for this? I don't have much drone left but I love my music!

Why would you get a loud exhaust and then insulate the car to avoid hearing it. Isn't that just adding more weight to the car and negating any minor performance gains?

It eliminates the vibrations through the trunk area. When you take out the trunk carpeting and side walls you can see the chevy put sound deadening patchs on the side walls. Fat matt just does a better job !
I'll post the web site once I get home, posting links from my iPhone doesn't allways work!
