My System install with fatmat sound deadening
Here are some photo's of my recent installation, I installed two kicker cvr 12's and a kicker zx750.1 amp.
Prior to installing the subs I spent about 10 hours installing fat mat sound deadenig, it probably could have been done much fatster but I am super paticular and I spent a lot of time cutting and trimming each piece to fit. The sound deadening is the key to this system and I recommend anybodying doing it whether you install a system or not, it quieted the road noice considerabley. This system hits hard with no rattles I even put fat mat on the back of my license plate and license plate holder to keep them from rattling. I also installed the remote bass knob which, I like as sometime your not in the mood for the hard hitting bass, or the music isn't condusive to it so you can adjust it accordingly. |

I used 50 square foot, with some 2 sheet's left over, some people get by with 25 square feet. but I would rather have to much then not enough.

Fat Mat is the brand I used, they have several products I went with a bulk pack of 50 sq. ft of MEGA MAT and I paid $130.00 and installed it myself, it's not hard just time consuming you cut the sheet with a razor knife or scissors to fit, or cut it into more managable pieces.
http://www.fatmat.com/bulk/megamat/50.html I bought the complete system from Steve at ********.com, and installed it myself you can buy the amps individually from them also, you might be able to find a cheaper price on ebay but sometimes there remanufactured so be careful, just google Kicker zx750.1 and you find tons of places online that sell them I also think Bestbuy sell Kicker products. Hope this helps Jesse |

Hey Indigloflow,
Have you had any issues after screwing the amp to the back of the subbox regarding vibration? I want to do that myself but I am leary because I am wondering if the vibration might mess up the components in the amp????? Any thoughts? Also I just spent 2 full days Mega matting my truck just like you did and MAN.....what a tediuous job! It was driving me mad!! :upset:
